This pattern uses mitered squares and short rows to make a rounded toe and heel. You'll have to knit them to see how it's done! Tate is meant for babies, but can certainly be upsized to fit a toddler, using either thicker yarn and needles, or adding more entrelac squares. Your pick! Intended for a snug fit.
