Hello, gnomes #2 and #1.

Hello, chubby round body knit in the round.

Hello, solid red foot.

Hello, cute little (gnash) hand and (gnash, gnash) thumb.

Lastly, as Mary-Heather suggested, I stuck a note under Gnome's beard: "Caught you looking!" This is going to BF's mom, hee hee!
Project notes for knitting this gnome *in the round* follows...

Check out the furry beard. The yarn was surprisingly soft and easy to knit with, but all the time I was thinking, "I'm knitting with this?!?!?!" I think the needle size was big as you can see the stitches, so gnome #2's (yes, #2) will be knit with a US8.

Two detestable thumbs. Cute but a pain to seam and stuff. Be forewarned.
Since I've got lots of leftovers (and a high tolerance for pain), I'll be making another. I'll be upsizing the needles by one, and knitting everything in the round. Nothing better than a challenge!

BF and I (and BF's socks) are back from Utah. It was fantastic, and I wish we had pictures, but we'd FORGOTTEN THE CAMERA. Argh. All throughout the week you'd hear either one of us say, "You know, I wish we brought the..." "Shut up about it ALREADY!" We were 40 miles in the middle of nowhere, no point in going into the nearest town and buying some crappy little paper box camera, so we just tried to enjoy the view. Needless to say, we'll be heading back in October. I went to a mini-meetup yesterday; BF painted some of the Utah scenery from memory. I'm trying to scrounge up some material for a more substantial post, so in the meantime you'll just have to do with more gnomey bits.

This hat is tall. Taller than the bowling pin body. And a bee-yatch to seam. That does it, I'm bringing out the dpns next time!
