A Periodic Table of Knitting
I've been inspired.
It started when I saw Squidspot's very nicely done Periodic Table of Typefaces (Popular, Influential & Notorious) and an idea started forming in my mind. Then Pixel Fantasy created his A Periodic Table of [Game] Controllers and I knew I really wanted to do one!
So this is mine: the Periodic Table of Knitting. Hee hee!
It's obvious that the knit stitch be the first, since it's the foundation of the craft. It's represented in written form as "k". In the upper-right, I put in the chart symbol. In the lower left, the spelled out word.
I plan on charting as many knitting stitches and techniques as possible, so for now the combined periodic table will be on hold. This promises to be a fun project! I hope, dear readers, you'll enjoy it with me. (Also on Flickr.)

I think this is an absolutely great idea, you could market it as t shirts,bags etc....... awesome!!! I wish I had thought of it!
