The last summer fruit.

There *is* a thing as Eye Candy Monday, isn't there? ;-)

Bowlful of figs and plums

Taken two weeks ago. These are looong gone. And they were good!

Petite figgies from our tree out in front. Bright green on the outside, shocking pink on the inside and cloyingly sweet. Plums picked from the orchard across the river, with the farmer's permission. We ate a handful while walking back, grinning at our good luck! The coings, quinces, were not yet ripe; at any rate our neighbors Christian and Gabrielle gave us some homemade jam and I've been enjoying spoonfuls with a bit of brousse cheese on top. Yummy! I could eat fruit all day.

France has gone on Daylight Savings time, a sure sign of winter! I have many things lined up for next month: a tutorial, finished projects, another pattern. It'll be a November with substantial posts, yay!

Funny you should mention figs. I'm in a chorus and we've started singing Christmas songs including one with the line, "we all love figgy pudding!"

Those plums look amazing! I'm on a fruit kick lately, too. And the links - fantastic, as always!

So wait...your hometown - I hope that means you'll be "home" sooner rather than later! We miss you!
