Inspiraled

Available for $4.00 as a PDF document download.

Inspiraled is a knit hat enhanced by a spiraling four-stitch cable that circles up to the top. As well as having two yarn weight options, there are two lifted increase options. The pattern may seem easy, but pay attention to the charts!

See project page for details. This pattern is also in Ravelry.

Inspiraled

Finished Size: Fits up to 22" head

Yarn:
- White version in DK/Sportweight: Dale of Norway Heilo. This yarn has been labeled two weights, so trust your gauge instead.
- Blue version (see below) in Worsted: Lorna's Laces Lion and Lamb

Needles: DK/Sport US3, US4 dpns; Worsted US6, US7 dpns

Skill Level: Must know how to knit on dpns, cable without a cable needle, read charts.

Inspiraled was inspired by Marnie Maclean's Nautilus hat. The spiral is one of those natural forms whose appearance, anywhere, is so appealing, and finding Marnie's pattern when I was relatively new to knitting was kismet. As anyone who's knit hats will know, the spiral also appears in decreases on a bottom-up knit hat. I wanted to incorporate something interesting around this, and after much trial and error, and two months of back-and-forth with my incredibly generous and patient tech editor (who else), Inspir(al)ed is fit for release.

(Special thanks to Marnie Maclean for tech editing and sample knitting!)

Schweet!
I was a little confused because after paying it redirected to a site that looked like it was going to do something and then nada...but I also had my mail program open, clicked over there, and BAM there the link was! Yay! I love the internet.

Thanks for a great pattern!
