In progress
Thanks for the compliments on Gnome #2! He was really fun to make. I still have over half the yarn left over--Lion Brand Wool-Ease is great on the yardage. A good and a bad thing, you know?
I've been busy trying to write the mother of all kal updates (lo, 150 knitters), in addition to doing some freelance. And getting sick (I finally caught the bug that's been going around and has incapacitated one-third of our gym members). I did find a good link to share this week: Shake the Globe, an OfficeMax "fun" site. Shake it a lot! If you mouse over the tab at the bottom right, you can find more fun goodies.
Other things I'm working on:

A simple shawl.

Yummy merino/silk.

A colorwork hat for this sweet little girl, who obligingly posed for her auntie.

I've said it in emails, but I just want to take this moment to say, in "public" (OMG I just wrote pubic first, sorry, Theraflu) THANK YOU for the update! You rock.
Auntie-hood is the best, isn't it? You scored yourself an awfully cute niece there! Nice work!
Neat colorway in the merino/silk, it almost looks like Wilton's splitting.
(and I love the wee one's posture, just catch a grown woman in that pose and she'll squeal in dismay about her belly or butt; hooray for joi de vivre des jeunes filles, or whatever, ;))
Oh no- hope you feel better soon! I've been lucky so far, but I'll be on an airplane (germ central) in 2 days, so we'll see if my luck holds out. Airborne, here I come! Take care. 150 KALers- so cool!
What a sweetie darling! She's so cute! Thanks for keeping us up to date on the KAL and hope you are feeling better soon.
What a cute niece! Hope you feel better soon.
Regarding the Gnomes:
Finally a great use for the Fun Fur.
I knew someone would know how to tastefully put the stuff to good use.
MJ, your second gnome came out great! I wish I had made mine in the round, but for some unknown reason it didn't occur to me until afterwards. Duh. And you were right on your first post...those thumbs were evil! :) I finally finished mine the other day. Yay!
Your WIP's are both beautiful. The shawl looks so very soft!
Hope you are feeling better! I am really behind in blog reading, but I am starting to catch up!
