About
ABOUT My name is MJ and this is my knitting blog. I was a freelance graphic designer in Southern California; now I take photos and live the climbing lifestyle in Europe. In case you're curious, my hardest redpoints to date have been 7b+. Lest you think all I do is climb, I brought a little yarn stash along. Don't worry, this is still a knitting blog.
Furthermore When I set out to read 52 books in 52 weeks, I surprised myself by surpassing that number. Here are lists for 2005, 2006, and 2007. 2008 is the year of reading books I brought with me (exactly 3) and reading them over and over again, and anything at the bookstore that's not German language, Harry Potter, or those thrill-a-minute novels. So. I've gotten plenty good at Sudoku.
And I like to take photographs. I use a little 6mp point-and-shoot, which is fine for traveling, but one of these days I'll need to upgrade to a prosumer kit. I participated in Sundara's Eye Candy Friday for a while. And then, um, I got lazy.
About this site Yummy Yarn uses Movable Type 4.1 and its default template, Minimalist White. This latest upgrade was easy but frustrating on the design front. Six-Apart, make your product WYSIWYg-friendly for the regular people.
Dreamhost has been good to me these last 4 years.
